Beijing

Well, it's now 8 a.m on Saturday morning in Beijing. We didn't get to our rooms until about 11:00 last night. Needless to say we were ALL tired. Let's just say the plane ride was interesting. Kennedy slept for the first half hour and cried for the last half hour...she wanted no part of a bottle, so perhaps her ears were bothering her...she was also tired because she had interrupted naps all day. We have another busy day scheduled today, so we'll see how it all goes. Internet service is not quite as good here as in Nanchang. It's slower for sure. Hopefully it all works out okay. It also costs to use the internet in our rooms here. In Nanchang it was FREE. But that's okay...I'm willing to pay it to keep in touch with home...

Again, thanks for the e-mails and comments on the blog. We are getting anxious to get home now. 5 more sleeps

Hey to the New and Improved Clow Family. Kathy Anne and I have been trying to keep up with you world travelers, it's not easy. We've been enjoying your pictures. It looks like to me Goose that you you're in tough, this newest female Clow already has you wrapped around her little finger. I believe that it took Carolyn a little longer (just a day or so longer). Try to get some rest, if that is possible and we will see you soon. Travel safe and God Bless. Lou

Glad to hear you arrived safe and sound in Beijing. I'm sure you'll be happy to get home and do NOTHING!! You have had a busy schedule. It is certainly still cold here. I hope it warms up before you get home. Can't wait to see you all. Love Rhonda

Hi Guys, Glad you made it safe and sound. We are still reading your blog and watching for pictures each day. All the E.A's on my staff ask each day if there are more photos and videos - they are very impatient to see Kennedy! You'll have to come to Hernewood when you get home so they can see her in person!

Have fun in Beijing. Remember, Outback Steakhouse has yummy Canadian style food. :)

Just about to shut off the computer for the night....I have masters class tomorrow (I thought I wasn't going to be at it...but it looks like I will) and thought I would check in with the Clow's before I went to sleep.I hope Kennedy's ears don't bother her on the flight home. Is there anything you can do or that? Enjoy Beijing and keep us posted.
    Love

Ok, so it's Saturday evening your time - how was the zoo? How was the Summer Palace? Did you go out on the boat?
Tomorrow will be another highlight of your trip - the Great Wall!! I think it'll be perfect temp for it, not too hot, not too cold. The stairs are a bit tricky, very uneven. Stroller's no good but do you have a snuggly carrier? Tell Marvin he should get his "Great Hero" certificate!!
Sleep tight and have fun tomorrow! Love, Steph and fam :o)

We have been following your blog daily. It's excellent and your daughter is beautiful!!
We too had trouble with the internet in Beijing but we persisted and managed to post daily.
Enjoy the rest of your trip and drink in all the sights. Before you know it, you'll be back home and the trip will be a terrific memory.

Sorry, me again!! I forgot to mention that tomorrow will be another special day as far as bonding goes. When Kennedy gets her little needle in her foot at her medical exam, she's going to want lots of snuggling afterward. Mommy to the rescue!!
