Bringing Kennedy Home

Feelings, thoughts and other tidbits along the way to adopting our daughter from China.

Keeping up with my China sisters!!

This morning, Kennedy insisted on ponytails. After seeing both Claire and Ava with their ponies in, we knew we had to try to keep up, so here it is...it's a little hard to see them with the background. She actually looks like she has two horns...funny 'cause she's been a bit cranky the last couple of days (teeth again, I think) so the "horns" kind of fit!

This is Claire. She is my China sister. She lives in Edmonton. I miss her. xox

This is Ava. She is my China sister. She also lives in Edmonton. I miss her. xox

I think I want to take a trip to Edmonton!

    What a bunch of cuties!
Bryn wishes she had enough hair for ponies. (Actually she could care less, I'm the one wishing her hair would grow a bit faster!) We tried a barrette the other day and that wouldn't even stay in!
Let us know when you're going to Edmonton and we'll meet you there. :-)

Oh how that makes me wish we could all be together and take a picture!! Edmonton is a nice place, lots of parks and things to see and do. Just tell us when you're comin!! don't worry Bryn, the hair will come eventually. Helena didn't have to get her first haircut 'til she was almost 3. She was a beautiful baldie!

Yay Kennedy! Your piggies look awesome! Claire feels very special to have been an inspiration.

(And holy cow Ava - where did all that hair come from?!)

Carolyn, I finally sat down and watched Shaoey's Hidden Treasures video. I knew that I had to do it sometime when I would have a few minutes to myself and definitely not at school. I am an absolute wreck at this moment, bawling my eyes out. Then I watched it again and Chloƫ called from the other room "I love you Mama!" All of us in the adoption community are so lucky to have been able to adopt our babies. What did we do to deserve all this endless love? Ok, I gotta pull myself together and put my girlies to bed.
    Love, Steph :o)

I love the pony parade!! But I'm afraid Caia isn't able to join yet, although her hair has grown a lot since we got home. I did try a little barrette the other day, but that did not go well. It ended with me fishing it out of her mouth. Maybe elastics will be a better idea some day...
